There's a huge front fighting to help immigrants and you can join it.
Watching footage of the ICE kidnappings has been chilling my fucking bones. The scale, the speed, the sloppy brazen violence of it all makes it totally overwhelming. And I caught myself last week feeling really helpless and powerless. And then I remembered I am neither of those things.
I remembered that actually there are organizations all over the country doing amazing work to advocate for and provide services to immigrants/migrants/asylum seekers. And that many accept volunteers. And I felt better.
We’re not powerless. We’re not helpless. We’re all capable of contributing.
So I made you a site where you type in your skills and zip code and get connected with local and national orgs that need volunteers like you.
If you are feeling helpless I really recommend helping.

(I’m pretty terrified of AI but) I made this on Claude. It wasn’t a perfectly seamless process but it was pretty easy. Got the code onto a real website with tech help from my friend Joseph Thomas who is also majorly responsible for the functionality of Pussypedia.net (and Dante Ureta who held my baby).
